Ten Things Tuesday

1. The co-worker I spent the day with revealed that he thinks the "cold" he's been fighting since last week is actually covid. Great. No, he hasn't been tested. No, he won't take time off. Saying prayers I don't get it, whatever "it" is.

2. Tim finished the porch railing last week. He's been painting as the weather has allowed ever since.

3. Our daughter came over to help paint tonight. Our granddaughter came, too. She wanted to help.

4. The leaves are finally turning colors. The rain coming in later this week will likely finish them off.

5. I got my nails done. Something a little different.

6. We have had frost several times in the last week. We'll have frost tomorrow morning, too.

7. I'm loving the smell of the warming wax I bought at the craft show...peppermint mocha milkshake. So yummy smelling!

8. I finally convinced Tim the shower was a lost cause, that he wasn't up to the job these days and that we needed to get estimates on having it redone. We did that and I'm so excited...West Shore Home will be installing a beautiful new shower on November 22.

9. I have sticker shock. After a lifetime of not having to hire anyone for any job, signing that contract was quite an awakening. It made me realize just how blessed I've been.

10. Mom changed eye doctors a while ago and he sent her to another doctor today just to confirm what he suspected...the surgeries she's had done on both eyes for glaucoma were unnecessary. There is no evidence of it in either eye. Wow.

  1. How nice that there was a paint porch party! I hope you don't get Covid. It will be 90 on Wednesday but going back down. Construction work is more expensive now. I am sure it will be worth it when it is done.

  2. I'm with you on that "sticker shock" thing. My roof repair was a killer, and the driveway painting project is going to cost me about $200 more than I was anticipating. Gulp. It's nice that Tim had some help with the painting project! Great photo of them! I think we are stuck with covid being treated as any other cold or virus. I do still have a couple of tests in the cupboard, but even when I was still working for the State of Florida, we didn't have to stay home with covid anymore. I've been resisting getting this year's vaccination because it isn't Moderna. I've only had Moderna and am not sure about getting Pfizer. They are differnent. Did get my flu shot, though. Share some photos, please, of the finished porch and of the new shower!! xo
