Outside my window it's a cool, cloudy evening. The temperature is 49 degrees and will drop a few degrees more before morning. We're in the midst of a mild warm up that will see our temps reach back into the mid-70's by Friday before rain moves in and cools us off again.
I've been reading Undercover Kitty by Sofie Ryan. I finished it last evening and began reading The Last Original Wife by Dorthea Benton Frank.
I've been watching very little television this week and what I have been watching has mostly been coverage of the war in Israel.
I'm feeling hopeful since my daughter called a little while ago. It seems that certain recent events in her life and things going on in the world (the war in Israel) have her thinking and she is wanting to start going to church again.
I'm grateful everyone is finally healthy again. Hand, foot, and mouth disease and all the respiratory ailments are behind us and the kids are back in school.
I'm sorry two people quit at work last week, but it means I am able to work in the Adult Training Facility every day for now. I am celebrating that.
I'm looking forward to Saturday. Tim and I are going with our daughter and her family on a train ride to a pumpkin patch. It's something we've wanted to do for quite some time. I do hope the weather forecast changes before then, though. Currently, the forecast is for temps in the 60's, but with an 88% chance of rain. Boo.
I'm giggling at...
OH I LOVE all the funnies at the end. You found some great ones for sure. Oh yes, I remember those TV cabinets...no one could break in and steal those so easily as the flat screen tv's! LOL I hope you all have a wonderful time on the train ride to the pumpkin patch. Praying the rain will hold up so you can have a great day. Lots of good stuff going on here...nice to get caught up with you. I am so far behind! Have a blessed and wonderful rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteWe had one of those TV cabinets. No, I don't miss them. Guess I'm a modern gal when it comes to electronics.
ReplyDeleteWe're praying for the Peace of Jerusalem and to keep Israel safe in what is comin'.
The funnies at the end still have me giggling! Good choices.
Blessings. xx
LOL... that last garden meme is for me!! Stacy, I am so glad the kiddos are all well now and PTL that your daughter is talking about going back to church. Congrats on the Adult Training assignment. Hoping you won't have to go back to shredding once a week. xo
